About Linnea
I’m a Leadership Development Specialist and Public Works Executive with nearly two decades of experience in the public sector. My career began in accounting and has since evolved into my current role as Director of Finance and Human Resources, where I oversee both financial operations and human resource functions—including training, development, hiring, and discipline.
One of the highlights of my career has been creating a leadership development program that has empowered employees to advance through targeted “soft skills” training. I believe leadership exists at every level of an organization, and I’m passionate about helping individuals uncover their authentic leadership potential.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Western Michigan University, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resource Management at Central Michigan University. I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to every project, helping organizations find practical, effective solutions.
Currently, I serve as Treasurer for the Michigan Chapter of the American Public Works Association, chair the Road Scholar program, and participate on the Michigan Public Services Institute and Midwest Advanced Public Services Institute committees—supporting the growth of hundreds of public works professionals each year.
I live in rural Michigan with my husband, John, and our two sons. As a parent, partner, and community member, I strive to bring a grounded, human perspective to professional development—one that values balance, empathy, and real connection.
Through personalized coaching and focused training programs, I help individuals and teams unlock their potential and drive sustainable results.
